A long-standing Tamil Nadu connection in guarding the largest prison in Asia

In the early 1980s, the Centre had called in the Tamil Nadu Special Police (TSP) to guard Tihar Jail after 13 prisoners escaped. They have been manning the outer periphery, the main entrance, and the high-security wards. Impressed by their commendable work, the Delhi jail administration has put Mandoli and Rohini prisons too under the TSP
